Florence Nolan, 91, of Barnesville, PA, passed away Wednesday, December 29th, at Seton Manor, Orwigsburg.

Florence was born in Mahanoy City, PA on January 26, 1930, a daughter of the late Mary (Stavetsky) and Griffith Kenvin

She was employed by Guinan's Department Store in Mahanoy City and as a custodian for the Mahanoy Area School District until retirement.

She loved to travel with her husband, especially to the ocean and New York City to enjoy Broadway shows.  She also enjoyed attending the events of her Great Grandchildren.

She was a member of St. Richards Church Barnesville.

She had graduated from Mahanoy City High School Class of 1947.

She was the wife of Edward Nolan for the past 27 years.

Florence is survived by a son, John, husband of Karen McElhenny, of Florida.

She is also survived by 7 Grandchildren:  Siobhan Walsh, Tara Evans, Steven Mroczka, John McElhenny, Brian McElhenny, Roshaun McElhenny, and Cailin McElhenny.  She was also the Great Grandmother of 8, Emily and Johnny Walsh, Henry and Isla Evans, Victoria and Evan Mroczka, and Trey and Tevin McElhenny who were her pride and joy.

She is preceded in death by her first husband, John McElhenny, a daughter, Jill Toter, and a sister, Eleanor (Lollie) Kenvin.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Richards Church, Barnesville, at 11 AM on Monday, January 3rd, with Rev. Robert Finlan officiating.

Friends and family may call Monday 10 AM at St. Richards Church.

Interment will follow St. Fidelis Cemetery Mahanoy City, PA.
