Florence Marteusz, 88, of Mahanoy City, PA, passed away Saturday, October 26th, at Schuylkill Medical Center East Norwegian, Pottsville.
Florence was born in Mahanoy City, PA on March 11, 1925, daughter of the late Mary (Wassell) and Stephen Tichy.
She was a member of Blessed Teresa of Calcutta Parish Mahanoy City.
She worked at Eagle Bros Shirt Factory Mahanoy City.,
Graduated from Mahanoy City High School Class of 1943
She was preceded in death by her husband Joseph Marteusz.
Florence is survived by a son, Joseph Marteusz husband of Jeanette, of Middleport;
Florence is also survived by a sister, Bernadine Goshow, of Philadelphia.
a brother, Joseph Tichy, of Drifton, Grandson Joseph of Pittsburgh, Jillian, of Middleport, also nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death also by a sister Theresa Redcliff
Friends may call Thursday October 31 from 10 to 11am at Blessed Teresa of Calcutta Parish until Mass of Christian Burial which will be celebrated at 11am. Interment will follow in St Casimir Cemetery Mahanoy City.
Family prefers donations to Blessed Teresa of Calcutta.
