Eva Kurzinsky, 91, of Shoemakers, Mahanoy City, passed away Tuesday at Schuylkill Medical Center- East Norwegian Street.
Born in Trenton, Pa., Jan. 15, 1920, she was a daughter of the late Stephen and Helen Falatovich Bulcavage. She graduated from Delano High School.
She was a member of St. Mary Byzantine Catholic Church, Mahanoy City.
Eva loved to crochet, cook and bake.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Adolph Kurzinsky; a son, Randolph, in 1982; brothers, John, Wassel, Michael, Joseph, Stephen and Frank; and sisters, Anna Slopek and Julie Greybush.
Surviving are sons, Robert and his wife, Ginny, West Chester, David and his wife, Maureen, Barnesville, and Rodney, Hazle Township; a daughter, Janet Kurzinsky of Shoemakers and her fiance Walter Carnish; a daughter-in- law, Judy Kurzinsky, Langhorne; 11 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; a brother, Peter Bethlehem; a sister, Mary Kasper, Trenton, N.J.
Office of Christian Burial with Divine Liturgy will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Mary Byzantine Catholic Church, Mahanoy City, with the Rev. James Carroll officiating. Interment will be in St. Mary's Byzantine Cemetery, where a white dove will be released in her memory. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday and 9 to 10 a.m. Saturday at Louis D. Truskowsky Funeral Home & Crematory Inc. Mahanoy City. The family prefers donations be made to Mahanoy City Public Library, 17-19 W. Mahanoy St., Mahanoy City, PA 17948.
