Eugene Bushick, 63, of Park Place, PA, passed away Friday, September 24th, at his residence.

Gene was born in Park Place, PA on March 19, 1958, a son of the late Helen (Little) and Eugene Francis Bushick.

He graduated from Mahanoy Area High School class of 1975, and attained a Bachelors of History degree at Kings College.

Gene was a Scout Master, Teener League Coach, Biddy Basket Ball Coach and was also the 5th and 6th grade girls all stars coach. He was also a High School basketball coach at MMI, Minersville and the former Cardinal Brennan. Second Lieutenant in the ROTC in college. He was a member of the American Legion. Gene loved the Eagles and Phillies. He could always be found in his back yard.  When he in high school he and his cousin had a band called "The Polka Boy's".

He worked for Forrester Environmental Company McAdoo prior to that he worked for Seitz Brothers Hometown. He was also a substitute teacher in Hazleton, Tamaqua or wherever he was needed.

Gene was the husband of Laura (Schock).

Eugene is survived by a daughter, Loretta, wife of Daniel Beshai, of North Carolina and by brothers in law Jeff Schock and his companion Michelle, David Schock and his wife Denise, Ray Schock and his wife Lisa, and Dwight Schock, niece's nephews and cousins.

Gene is preceded in death by a son Eugene II in 2018.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Saint Teresa of Calcutta Parish, Mahanoy City, PA, at 10 AM on Friday, October 1st, with Rev. Kevin P. Gallagher officiating.

Friends and family may call Friday 9 AM at Saint Teresa of Calcutta Parish.

Interment will follow in St. Casimir Cemetery Mahanoy City, PA.
