Obituary
Emily Strasavage, 92, of Mahanoy City, passed away Tuesday, August 27th, peacefully, at Shenandoah Senior Living Community, Shenandoah.
Emily was born in Germany, on May 21, 1921, a daughter of the late Katherine and Richard Retthelr.
She was a member of Blessed Teresa of Calcutta Parish Mahanoy City, PA 17948.
Emily loved to sew all kinds of things especially Crochet, and also to Bake and plant in the garden.
She was preceded in death by her husband Edward Strasavage in 2008.
Emily is survived by Niece Joann Koback and her husband Edward, sister in-law Sophia Rench, nephew Robert Rench, great nieces and nephews.
Emily is also survived by
sisters, Kathleen, of France and Mary in Germany.
Proceeded in death by sons Edward and Michael, brothers Richard, and Siefgried and a sister Helga. She is survived by nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Blessed Teresa of Calcutta Parish, Mahanoy City, PA, at 12 noon on Friday, August 30th, with Rev Kevin Gallagher officiating. Friends may call from 11 am until time of Mass
Interment will follow at Skyview Memorial Park Tamaqua, PA.
