Ellen C. Herbert, 57, of Mahanoy City, PA, passed away Wednesday, April 4th, peacefully, at her residence.

Ellen was born in Camden, NJ on February 28, 1961, of the late Catherine (Curley) and James Schnitzius.

She had graduated from Marian Catholic High School Class of 1979.

She was the wife of Robert Herbert.

Ellen is survived by a daughter, Brittney, of Mahanoy City. She is also survived by her second mother Joann Schnitzius, of Pottsville, three sisters, Patti Schnitzius, of Mahanoy City; Kate Schnitzius-Zucker, wife of Mark Zucker, of Mahanoy City; Mia Caulfield, of East Norritton, a niece and nephew.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Saint Teresa of Calcutta Parish, Mahanoy City, PA, at 10 AM on Saturday, April 7th, with Rev. Kevin P. Gallagher officiating.
