Obituary
Elizabeth M. Yanavich (Janevicius), 96, esteemed matron, who lived her entire life in the 500 block of West Mahanoy Street Mahanoy City died peacefully in her sleep early Sunday.
A graduate of Mahanoy City High school she was a member of Blessed Teresa of Calcutta Church and the Mahanoy City Golden Age, and Senior Citizens.
A daughter of the late Martin Radziewicz and Anna Yockabonis she was preceded in in death by her husband, Alphonsus, grandson, Keven, Sisters Constance, Anna, Mary and Anastasia.
Surviving are sons Bernard, Hatboro, Michael, Mahanoy City, Leonard and his wife Dorothy, Carmel Indiana, 3 Grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Blessed Teresa of Calcutta Parish 11am Thursday February 10th.
Friends may call Wednesday evening 6 to 8 pm at the funeral home.
Family prefers donations be made to the West End Fire & Rescue Mahanoy City and will be accepted at the funeral home.
Interment will be in St Joseph Cemetery Mahanoy City, where a White Dove will be released in her memory.
