Mrs. Elizabeth Ann "Betty Ann" Blum, 68, of Mahanoy City, passed away Sunday at Schuylkill Medical Center-South Jackson Street.
Mrs. Blum was born in Mahanoy City, on June 24, 1941, a daughter of the late Joseph and Elizabeth Griffin Wilner. She attended local schools.
She was a member of Blessed Teresa of Calcutta Roman Catholic Church, Mahanoy City, and member of the former St. Canicus Roman Catholic Church.
She had worked for the former Mahanoy City Cigar Factory and Eagle Brothers Shirt Factory.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Joseph Wilner.
Surviving, in addition to her husband, are daughters, Nadine Oliver, Plymouth, Ind., and Roxanne Wall, Mahanoy City; a sister, Jean Techentine, Lewes, Del.; a brother, Robert Wilner, Hazleton; grandchildren, Rick Bogdonanwicz, Fort Wayne, Ind., Myla Wall, Mahanoy City, and Ethan, Jacob and John Oliver II, Plymouth, Ind.; and nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday at Blessed Teresa of Calcutta Roman Catholic Church, Mahanoy City. Friends may call at 9 a.m. until time of Mass on Thursday at the church. Interment will be in St. John Greek Cemetery, Frackville, where a white dove will be released in her memory.
