Eileen J. Noraka, 80, of 1331 E. Pine St., Mahanoy City, passed away Friday at Schuylkill Medical Center-East Norwegian Street.
Born in William Penn, she was a daughter of the late Phillip and Kathryn Burns Coyle. She was a graduate of West Mahanoy Township High School, Class of 1946.
She was a member of Blessed Teresa of Calcutta Church, Mahanoy City.
She worked alongside her husband in the N&Y Grocery Store, Mahanoy City, for many years. She also worked for Tung-Sol in Weatherly.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, William J. Noraka, in 2006; and a brother, Phillip Coyle.
Surviving are a daughter, Kathy Noraka, at home; nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services will be held at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday from Louis Truskowsky Funeral Home, Mahanoy City. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Blessed Teresa of Calcutta Church, Mahanoy City. Viewing will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Louis Truskowsky Funeral Home. Interment will be in Annunciation Cemetery, Shenandoah. William F. McDonald Funeral Home, Girardville, has charge.
