Obituary

Edward Sincavage, 87, of East Mahanoy Avenue, Mahanoy City, passed away Monday at Hazleton General Hospital.

Born in Mahanoy City, Oct. 29, 1921, he was a son of the late John and Martha Davidavage Sincavage.

He lived in Mahanoy City all his life and was a 1939 graduate of Mahanoy City High School.

He served in the Army during World War II.

He worked as a coal miner and also as a park ranger at Locust Lake State Park.

He was a member of Park Crest Fish and Game and loved to go fishing and enjoyed walking and hiking.

He was preceded in death by brothers, John, Joseph, Alfred and William; and a sister, Anna Cusick.

Surviving are his wife, Mary Henkel Sincavage; a son, Edward Sincavage, Schuylkill Haven; sisters, Eleanor Yuditsky, Mahanoy City, Rita Rogers, Sellersville, and Marie Milillo, Mahanoy City; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Friday at Blessed Teresa of Calcutta Roman Catholic Church, Mahanoy City. Friends may call from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday at the church. Interment will be in Sky-View Memorial Park, Hometown, were a white dove will be released in his memory.
