Edward P. Koback, 80, of Mahanoy City, PA, passed away Saturday, March 26th, at Lehigh Valley East Norwegian, Pottsville.
Edward was born in Mahanoy City, PA on September 27, 1941, a son of the late Helen (Kalce) and George Koback.
He graduated from Mahanoy Area class of 1959.
He served in the U.S. Navy in the Vietnam War.
He was a member of Saint Teresa of Calcutta Parish Mahanoy City, PA 17948.
Ed belonged to the American Legion Post 74 Mahanoy City. He loved the New York Yankee's, fishing and scratching lottery tickets. He adored spending time with his Grandchildren
He was the husband of Joann (Rench) Koback for 52 years.
Edward is survived by a daughter, Kim, wife of Bill Walsh, of Barnesville; a son, Edward P. Koback, of Mahanoy City;
Edward is also survived by two sisters, Jean, wife of Ken Keim, of Harrisburg; Joan Wolfgang, of Delano two brothers, Paul, husband of Kitty Koback, of New Boston; George, husband of Gloria Koback, of Mahanoy City;
He is also survived by 2 Grandchildren Taylor, and Tevin. Nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Saint Teresa of Calcutta Parish, Mahanoy City, PA, at 10 am on Thursday, March 31st, with Rev. Kevin P. Gallagher officiating.
Friends and family may call Thursday 9 to 10am at Saint Teresa of Calcutta Parish.
Interment will follow at Skyview Memorial Park Tamaqua, PA.
