Mrs. Dorothy Ryan, 82, passed away Friday, March 11th, at Seton Manor, Orwigsburg, PA.

Mrs. Ryan was born in Trenton Mahanoy City, PA on April 24, 1928, the daughter of the late Michael and Teckla (Hryskanich) Lazer.

She was a member of St Mary Byzantine Catholic Church Mahanoy City, PA.

Dorothy lived much of her life in Girardville and lived also in Frackville for many years.

She had worked for Ashland State General Hospital as LPN

She belonged to the St. Claire Order of Secular Franciscans St. Claire, and Catholic Daughters St. James Court Frackville.

Graduated Delano HS in 1946, and graduated from Pottsville Hospital School of Nursing.

She was the wife of the late Lawrence Ryan who died in 1958.

She is survived by daughter Bonnie Koeplin of Atlanta GA and sisters Anna Yurko of Freeland., Helen Belovesick of Mahanoy City.,

Survived also by 3 grandchildren Michelle and Jason Ryan and Gabriela Koeplin, and a great granddaughter Violet Ryan, nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by Sons Lawrence and James, and brother Steve, John, Joseph, Frank, Nicholas, Michael and sisters Julia Lazer and Mary Barna.

Office of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St Mary Byzantine Catholic Church, Mahanoy City, PA, at 10:30 AM on Wednesday, March 16th, with Father James Carroll officiating.

Friends may call Wednesday 9:30 AM at St Mary Byzantine Catholic Church Mahanoy City.

Interment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery Fountain Springs, where a white dove will be released in her memory.
