Dorothy M. Dombrosky, 88, of Mahanoy City, passed away Tuesday at her residence.
Born in Mahanoy City, July 6, 1921, she was a daughter of the late Casimir and Mary Anne (Dengaliwicz) Zagorski.
She attended Mahanoy Township School.
She retired from the Eagle Shirt factory, Mahanoy City.
She
was a member of Blessed Teresa of Calcutta Roman Catholic Church,
Mahanoy City, the Holy Rosary Society, the parish choir, the former St.
Casimir Choir, Catholic Daughters of America, where she had been a
former secretary, Golden Age, Mahanoy City, and the Senior Center.
She
was preceded in death by her husband, Adam Dombrosky, on Oct. 21, 1987;
brothers, Francis and Joseph; and a sister, Florence Zagorski.
Surviving
are daughters, Florence Dombrosky, San Antonio, Texas, Charlotte Clark,
Weston, Maine, and Mary Ann Bailey, Houston, Texas; a son, Adam
Dombrosky, Elizabethtown; sisters, Anna Budzena and Regina Zagorski,
both of Mahanoy City; six grandchildren; a great-grandchild; nieces and
nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10
a.m. Friday at Blessed Teresa of Calcutta Church. Friends may call
Friday from 9 a.m. until time of Mass at the church. Interment will be
in St. Casimir Cemetery, Mahanoy City, where a white dove will be
released in her memory.
