Diana J. (Carson) Evans, 59, of Harrisburg, went home to the Lord on May 11, 2024 after a courageous battle with glioblastoma. Born in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of Joan (Sahutsky) Carson and the late Eugene Carson. She was raised in Pattersonville, PA and spent the majority of her life in Frackville, PA.

Diane graduated from the Blue Mountain Academy in 1983 before attending the Pennsylvania State University. She worked in the medical field for several years before raising a family. This was her pride and joy. Diane taught her children to be hardworking, productive, humble, and God-fearing. Her children always received nightly texts adorned with "Hugs and Kisses, Love Mom."

A proud military wife, Diane was the foundation for her family of five and spent her retirement traveling, gardening, baking, interior decorating, and enjoying her grandchildren. Leaving behind a journal of Mom's Wisdom, she reminds us to "always hug and kiss hello and goodbye" and "trust in the Lord with all your heart."

Diane is survived by her spouse of 35 years, George Evans, a son Joshua Evans (Brittany) of New Cumberland, a daughter Megan Gierka (Jared) of Harrisburg, a daughter Shannon Evans (Jonathan Nebroskie) of Harrisburg, a sister Donna Rakus of Ringtown, a sister Gail Krolick of Lake Tahoe, and two grandchildren Savannah and Benjamin Evans of New Cumberland.

Private services will be held with immediate family. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in honor of Diane to Penn State Hershey Children's Hospital - Cancer Institute. A heartfelt thank you to the entire Penn State Neurology team, especially Dr. Brad Zacharia, and Homeland Hospice RN Brianna for their patience, perseverance, and the gift of precious time.
