David L. Fritz, 79, of Barnesville, PA, passed away Saturday, December 1st, at Wilkes Barre General Hospital.

David was born in Pottsville on November 21, 1939, a son of the late Grace (Guers) and Roy Fritz.

David graduated from Mahanoy Township High School class of 1957.

He served in the Pennsylvania Army National Guard during the Vietnam War.

He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Tamaqua.

He worked as a dairy farmer on his family farm and he retired from Honeywell Corp Pottsville.

David was an avid hunter and fisherman, raised chickens, pigeons and rabbits.

He was the husband of Joan (Stride) Fritz.

David is  survived by a daughter, Leah, wife of  Richard Knapp, of Barnesville, and a sister Lynette, wife of Henry Faust, Beltzville..

He is also survived by 4 Grandchildren Rebecca, Rachael, Jessica, Rylee and great grand son Jack, nieces.

David is preceded in death by a daughter Cheri Lee Burke

A graveside service will be held at Hersker's private cementery, Barnesville, at 11 am on Monday, December 10th, with Rev. Phyllis Wolford officiating.
