Daphne L. Latham, 38, of Pottsville, passed away Sunday at home.
Born in Williamsport, July 23, 1973, she was a daughter of Viola F. Latham Adams, Pottsville.
She graduated from Alvernia College in 2005, earning a bachelor's degree in behavior psychology.
She worked as a nutrition specialist at Penn State Extension, Pottsville, and then as a drug and alcohol counselor at Gaudenzia in Fountain Springs.
She was a very spiritual person and an advocate in her community, where she always set aside Thursday and Sunday for spiritual maintenance and to express her faith in God.
Surviving, in addition to her mother, are her daughter, Talisa L.M. Latham and her fiance, Justin R. Barnes, Pottsville; two sisters, Crystal B. Harper, Pottsville, and Heather V. Boher, Minersville; maternal grandfather, Allen C. Williams, Memphis, Tenn.; her goddaughter, Zariah Boher, Minersville; sister-friend, Tammi Chambers, Pottsville; aunts and uncles and friends.
A Memorial Service will be held at 4 p.m. Sunday at Robert A. Evans Jr. Funeral Home, 208 Pike St., Port Carbon, with Pastor Gloria Alexander officiating. A visitation with the family will be held from 3 to 4 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
