Daniel S. Dunlap, 59, of 143 willow St., Delano, died Wednesday morning at St. Luke's Miners Memorial Hospital, Coaldale.

He was a son of the late Michael and Rita McCoog Dunlap, and he lived in Mahanoy City and Delano since 1970.

He was a graduate of Mahanoy Area High School, class of 1967.Daniel had worked for the former Spalding Bakery, Hazleton, Eagle Bros. Shirt Makers, Allentown, and most recently for Marko Radiator, Pottsville.

He was a member of Blessed Teresa of Calcutta Roman Catholic Parish, Mahanoy City.Daniel loved fishing and shooting pool, and foremost he loved his grandchildren.He was married to Carol Hentosh Dunlap.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Frank, who died Nov 22.

He is survived by a son, Todd and his wife, Michelle, Mahanoy City; three daughters, Tracy Fenton, New Ringgold, Shannon Mazalusky and her husband, Michael, Delano, and Haley Dunlap and her partner, Leon Trusky, Ringtown; eight grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.

A funeral will be held at 12 PM Monday at the Louis D. Truskowsky Funeral Home Inc. Mahanoy City, with the Rev. Kevin Gallagher officiating.

Interment will be in St. Canicus Cemetery, Mahanoy City,  12:30 PM, (Change due to weather on Sunday)., where a white dove will be released at the graveside in his memory. Friends my call from 10 AM Monday at the funeral home.
