Obituary
Mrs. Charlotte Maurey, 87, of Mahanoy City passed away Wednesday, April 25th, 2012 at Schuylkill Medical Center East Norwegian, Pottsville, PA.
Mrs. Maurey was born in Shenandoah, on August 14, 1924, the daughter of the late Charles and Mary (Southall) Eckrode.
She was a member of First United Methodist Church Mahanoy City.
She belonged to Eastern Star and was a past "Worthy Matron", White Shrine, Red Hatters, and the Mahanoy City Woman's Club.
She graduated from Mahanoy City High School Class of 1942
She was the wife of the late Phaon Maurey who died in 2005.
She is survived by son Phaon Maurey and his wife Brenda, of Moore OK. and a brother Jack Eckrode of Allentown.
She is also survived by 2 grandchildren, and 7 great grandchildren.
In addition to her husband she is preceded in death by brothers Robert and James and a sister Grace Sobol.
A Religious Service will be celebrated at the Louis D. Truskowsky Funeral Home & Crematory Inc., Mahanoy City, PA, at 11AM on Saturday, April 28th, with Rev Christopher Wollyung officiating.
