Charles J. Mooney, 71, of Mahanoy City, PA, passed away Wednesday, May 20th, peacefully, at his residence. .
Charles was born in Bowmans Patch, PA on June 26, 1943, a son of the late Eva (Rhoades) and William Mooney.
He was a member of Blessed Teresa of Calcutta Parish Mahanoy City, PA 17948.
He worked as a construction worker at Great Western Construction of Allentown.
He was the husband of Matilda (Clark) Mooney.
Charles is also survived by four daughters, Eva Mooney, of Mt. Carmel; Christine Mooney, of Mahanoy City; Sharleen Mooney, of Mahanoy City; Amanda Mooney, of Mahanoy City; a son,William, of Mahanoy City;
Charles is also survived by a sister, Anna Houser, of Ringtown, by 10 Grandchildren, 15 Great Grandchildren.
Proceeded in death by brothers Thomas, Francis, James, John, George, Michael, and William, and sisters Eva Zagunas, and Elizabeth Shoup.
Interment private at convenience of the Family in St. Canicus Cemetery Mahanoy City, PA.
