Carolyn Walinchus, 88, of Mahanoy City , passed away Sunday, March 31st, at Green Wood Nursing Home.

Carolyn was born in Mahanoy City, PA on June 26, 1935, a daughter of the late Gretchen (Fuhrman) and John B  Lieberman.

She was a member of Saint Teresa of Calcutta Mahanoy City

Carolyn worked at the former Schuylkill Mall Frackville as a Manager for "16 Plus" , she also was a clerk for the former Record American Newspaper of Mahanoy City, and was an organist for 42 years at the former Saint Fidelis Church of Mahanoy City

She was graduated from the former Immaculate Heart High School, Fountain Springs,  Class of 1954

Carolyn was wife of the late William F Walinchus.

Also preceding her in death were her son William John Walinchus, and her sister Gretchen Bishop

Carolyn is  survived by a daughter, Caroline Mlynek, and a son, Peter Walinchus both of Mahanoy City.

Carolyn is also survived by two sisters, Mary Goodwillie, of York, PA and Anne Crossen, of Barnesville, PA. and a brother, John  B Lieberman, of Pottsville, PA;

She has grandchildren Matt Mlynek, Krystal Walinchus, Mark Mlynek, Kelly Walinchus and Caitlyn Mlynek   along with nieces  and nephews.

Friends may call at Saint Teresa of Calcutta Church Mahanoy City on Thursday April 4 from 9 am till Mass of Christian Burial at 11 am.

Interment will be in St. Fidelis cemetery.
