Austin Didgen, 31, of Barnesville, Pennsylvania, passed away on Sunday, May 31, 2026, at St. Luke’s Hospital – Miners Campus in Coaldale.

Born on March 22, 1995, at Good Samaritan Hospital in Pottsville, Austin was the beloved son of Jessica Didgen and Brett McGuire of Barnesville.

Those who knew him will remember Austin for his kind heart, caring nature, and the deep love he had for his family and friends. He will be fondly remembered for his strength, his bright smile, and his often-shared motto: “One Day at a Time.”

Austin attended Mahanoy City Catholic School and Marian Catholic High School before graduating from Mahanoy Area High School with the Class of 2013.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his three brothers, Nova McGuire, Racer McGuire, and Brett McGuire; his loving grandparents, Monica and Thomas Didgen; his Godfather, Joseph Malasavage; and his Aunt and Godmother, Jada Sevinsky, and Uncle Pete Sevinsky, along with their children, Brandon, Paris, and Paislee. He is also survived by his Uncle Shawn McGuire, Sabrina McGuire, Hunter McGuire, and Amanda McGuire.

Austin was preceded in death by his brother, Blayke, whom he missed deeply and carried in his heart always.

A Memorial Service will be held at 7:30 PM on Thursday, June 11th at the Louis D. Truskowsky Funeral Home & Crematory Inc. in Mahanoy City, PA, with Deacon David J. Henninger officiating. Friends and family may call beginning at 6:00 PM until the time of the service.
