Anne Marie Bernadyn, 82, of Mahanoy City, PA, passed away Saturday, February 17th, at her residence.
Anne Marie was born in Park Place, PA on January 14, 1942, a daughter of the late Adele (Zavetsky) and John Malasavage.
She was a member of Saint Teresa of Calcutta Parish Mahanoy City, PA 17948.
She had worked for the former City Shirt Mahanoy City, Mahanoy City Child Development, and Joann Fabrics.
Fondly referred to as the "Queen Bee" of the B-Hive, Anne Marie always welcomed friends and family with a hug and a smile. She loved to sew and crochet and shared her talents with many others. In addition to being an avid reader, her interests included music, arts and crafts, making costumes for local school performances, and being active in the community, including organizations such as Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts. Anne Marie loved her Dodgers and spent countless hours watching baseball with her husband.
She graduated from Mahanoy Twp High School class of 1959.
She was the wife of Michael Bernadyn.
Anne Marie is survived by two daughters, Michele, wife of George Maziekas, of Barnesville; Nicole, wife of James Hallowell, of Quakertown; five sons Michael, husband of Patricia, of Demorest GA; Stephen, of Gettysburg; Francis, of Ambler; Edward, husband of Shannan, of Zion Grove; James, husband of Lisa, of Conway SC;
Anne Marie is also survived by a sister, Monica, wife of Thomas Didgen, of Mahanoy City, two brothers, John, husband of Lillian Malasavage, of Barnesville; Joseph Malasavage, of Park Place;
She is also survived by 12 Grandchildren, Michael, Meredith, Amanda, Alexis, Tyler, Kyle, Jenna, Jacob, Alex, Noel, Payton, and Kendall and 4 Great Grandchildren, Malakai, Tydus, Anorah, and Dominick. Nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by a sister Diane Moore wife of Thomas Moore.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Saint Teresa of Calcutta Parish, Mahanoy City, PA, at 10 AM on Saturday, February 24th, with Rev. Kevin P. Gallagher officiating.
Friends and family may call Saturday 9 - 10 AM at Saint Teresa of Calcutta Parish.
Interment private at convenience of the Family.
In lieu of flowers, family would appreciate contributions in Anne Marie's name to the Mahanoy City Public Library.
