Anna Budzena, 96, of Mahanoy City, died Tuesday at Schuylkill Medical Center-South Jackson Street.
Born in Mahanoy City, Sept. 1, 1914, she was a daughter of the late Casimir and Mary Dangielewicz Zagorski.
She was a member of Blessed Teresa of Calcutta Parish, Mahanoy City, the Rosary Society of St. Casimir and the Golden Age.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Michael Budzena; brothers, Francis and Joseph (who was a fighter pilot during Word War II in B17's); and sisters, Dorothy Dombroski and Florence Zagorski.
Surviving are a sister, Regina Zagorski, Mahanoy City.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday at Blessed Teresa of Calcutta Parish, Mahanoy City, with the Rev. Kevin Gallagher officiating. Interment will be in St. Casimir Cemetery, Mahanoy City, where a white dove will be released in her memory. Friends may call from 9 to 10 a.m. Saturday at the church.
