Ann M. Maccarone, 63, of Pottsville, PA, passed away Saturday, February 8th, at Lehigh Valley Cedar Crest, Allentown.

Ann was born in Mahanoy City, PA on August 28, 1956, a daughter of the late Hellen (Fetcho) and George Karetsky.

Graduated from Mahanoy Area High School and graduated from Penn State.

She was a member of St. Mary's Byzantine Catholic Church Mahanoy City.

She worked at Pottsville and Good Samaritan Hospitals in the position of Laboratory Supervisor and later worked for the National Children's Study as a Lab Supervisor which was run by Children's Hospital of Philadelphia.

She was the wife of Anthony Maccarone.

Ann is also survived by a son, Matthew, husband of Heather, of Pottsville; and by two sisters, Judy Kurzinsky, of Levittown; Kathy Yuditsky, of Clifton VA. two brothers, George, of Allentown; Robert, of Barnesville; and by a granddaughter Haley.

Office of Christian Burial at Louis D. Truskowsky Funeral Home & Crematory Inc. , Mahanoy City, PA, at 11 AM on Thursday, February 13th,  with Rev. James Carroll officiating.

Interment will be in St. Mary's Byzantine Cemetery Mahanoy City, PA.

Family prefers donations to St Jude Children's Hospital and can be made at the funeral home.
