Agnes Lorah, 67, of Mahanoy City, PA, passed away Wednesday, December 23rd, at her residence.
Agnes was born in Mahanoy City, PA on December 5, 1948, a daughter of the late Olive (Kellner) and Matton Kramer.
She was an avid reader, enjoyed music and dancing and spending time at the shore.
She was a member of Blessed Teresa of Calcutta Parish Mahanoy City, and was very devoted to the chapel of perpetual adoration and also Divine Mercy.
She was an Assistant Administrator at Holy Family Personal Care Orwigsburg. She last worked for Priority One Nursing Associates Inc. where she was co-owner and president.
She was the First Female Exalted Ruler of the Mahanoy City ELKS and member of the ELKS grand lodge. And was a member of the Penn State Alumni Association, PA Nurses Association.
Agnes was a 1966 graduate of Mahanoy Area. She also graduated from Pottsville Hospital School of Nursing and Penn State.
Agnes is survived by three sons Michael; George Jr.; and John, husband of Kathy, all of Mahanoy City. She is also survived by 2 grandchildren Alyssa and Nicole
She is preceded in death by her former husband George who passed away in August.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at at Blessed Teresa of Calcutta Parish, Mahanoy City, PA, at 10 am on Monday, December 28th, with Rev. Kevin P. Gallagher officiating.
Friends may call Sunday 6 to 8 pm at the Louis D. Truskowsky Funeral Home & Crematory Inc. in Mahanoy City.
Interment will be in St. Fidelis Cemetery Mahanoy City, PA.
Family prefers donation to Blessed Teresa of Calcutta Perpetual Adoration.
