Mr. Gene Slavinsky, 48, of Mahanoy City passed away suddenly at his residence Tuesday April 3rd, 2012.

Mr. Slavinsky was born in Mahanoy City, PA on March 8, 1964, the son of the late Eugene and Bernadine (Sherkness) Slavinsky Shropp.

Had Served in the US Marine Corps

Gene had worked for Mr Hanger, Ringtown, and Morgan Knitting Mills Hometown.

Graduated from Mahanoy Area High School.

He is survived by a brother Richard Slavinsky of South Carolina.

A viewing will be held at the Louis D. Truskowsky Funeral Home & Crematory Inc. Mahanoy City from 8:30 AM on Tuesday April 17th, until 10am when a religious service will be held with Monsignor William Glosser officiating. Interment will be in Skyview Memorial Park where a white dove will be released in his memory.
