Take a brief survey

Thank you for choosing our Funeral Home. We understand the significance of a loss. It is always our goal to deliver the highest quality, most caring and meaningful funeral services to help our families begin to move through the death of a loved one.

We offer secure, dignified cremations in our own crematory. As licensed funeral directors we personally perform each cremation, because of this, your loved one never leaves the shelter of our care and you can have absolute peace of mind that you will receive your loved one’s cremated remains.
(see "About Us" for more information) Cremations elsewhere are not performed by Licensed Funeral Directors, nor are funeral directors present during the cremation process.

To better serve our families in ways no others can, over the past many years, we have created these special services

  • The gift of a White Dove Release. "Doves of White" of Mahanoy City a much talked about and enjoyed service designed to help offer closure at grave side or other location. *** Please Note; Dove releases are available to most funeral homes in Schuylkill, Luzerne, and Carbon Counties. Contact your funeral director and ask if they provide the Gift of a White Dove Release or contact Doves of White for additional information or for booking for a funeral. (570-205-1597). This is a very appropriate gift for those grieving. Doves of White on FACEBOOK

  • Video Tribute photo montage. Now available within our online obituaries. This video is also displayed at the viewing and funeral for all to enjoy and remember. We create this photo montage, however, if you would like to create a video tribute (even for past services), we will supply you with a password so you can add photos, change the order in which they are shown, and pick the music, a DVD can then be created as well. There is no built in or extra charge for this service.
  • We provide Pet Loss Care. If you are a Pet Parent and you need us, call us. 570-773-2080
  • We are your local supplier for memorial or awareness bracelets and memorial car window decals.

Check out our newsletters in the "About US" section for up to date relevant information that you may find very useful or interesting.

A funeral service commemorates a life that has been lived and offers a time for friends and relatives to pay tribute to that life and allows us to express love to those that we have lost. We will take care of the needs and desires of every family, no matter how small the detail.

Our Funeral Home Inc. is a fourth generation family-owned & operated business with a continuing commitment to serving the families of the Mahanoy City, Shenandoah (the former Leonard Chaikowsky Funeral Home) and all of Schuylkill County with Cremation Solutions. We believe in flexible, sincere, and highly personalized service. We are dedicated to providing meaningful ceremonies to the families we serve.
